August 11th, 2010

Today we hit our final destination, San Clemente, CA. The drive from Las Vegas was easy and we got into town in 4.5 hours. Kris and I took the kids to the beach for the afternoon and Chase had fun getting soaked in the water!

August 8-10, 2010

We headed to Vegas for a 5 hour trip through beautiful country! There was Arizona's Joshua Tree state park on our trip that was really unique (photo of the weird trees). Then we went through the Hoover Dam. They are building a bridge to bypass it (6th photo) but it is not ready so we had to take a couple of hours to get through the dam portion. They stopped me before I got there and checked my vehicle because it had a lot of stuff in it, they wanted to be sure I wasn't hiding a bomb. Then we visited Uncle Troy. Chase and Troy had a great time swimming with Hailey and Jaden. We had a nice time visiting!

August 5-7, 2010

In Phoenix I visited with my friends Bennie and Chantil Martinez. They have kids named Gavin and Alliyah. The kids had a blast together and we all enjoyed having some family time for a couple of days. We also had an adult night and went out for Sushi with Carrie and John Lahr.

August 4th, 2010

Day three, we stayed the night at a hotel in Canyon De Chelly and spent the morning looking at the sites. We drove to Sedona in the afternoon and had a hotel with a beautiful view and a nice pool. We head to Phoenix in the morning!

August 3rd, 2010

Day two of our road trip. We drove from Moab, UT to Canyon De Chelly, AZ. Chase was singing and dancing to Diego in the back seat while we were driving through beautiful country. He wasn't always so happy to stop to see the sights though as you can tell. He would have preferred to watch movies in the car. Oh well! One stop in Monument Valley was at the Gouldings Lodge where they filmed some old westerns. I had Chase take a photo with John Wayne! We made it to the Canyon at the end of the day...

August 2nd, 2010

Our road trip begins! The first day we spent the night in Moab UT. We stopped at a dinosaur museum and took photos of the scenery, it was a very beautiful drive. Grandpa and Chase sat for a drink when we got to Moab. It was about 100 degrees when we arrived!

July 30th

We started the morning by going to the Frontier Days parade with the family. It was HOT!!! As you can see by the end of the parade Chase took the canopy from his stroller and was using it as a hat. We made it through the parade and went to the Carnival. Grandpa went on the Super Slide with Chase and we ended with a ride on the ferris wheel. We also got a old west photo of the whole family. It was good fun!
